Firstly, sorry for the promise of phjotos and the failure to deliver. canmera ran out of battery, left in car etc etc.
we are safe and well, 2min internet left...
we are heading south to glaciers today.
We had a crap night in Greymouth because some pricks manged to set fire to our campsite and freaked us out a little to say the least.

Looking at the chart I would take cover if I were you
I reckon you may well get snowed on.
Maybe a white xmas if you play your cards right. Get about 1500m and get out the skis.
