The 1st time I tried to latched onto your blogg I got a web sit for the Bay Of Islands, accommodation etc, & thought that looks like a good idea, maybe its an omen.I loved that day sailing with Pa's friend. Great to hear you are having fun & lots of variety. Every time the sun shines I think of you both huddled together for warmth. Hope you are enjoying every play ground you see even the dry ones, although they may have wet seats by the sound of it. Give Teddy a big hug from me, I suppose she is getting excited about seeing Mt Ailsa again. Ails, I saw "Little Miss Sunshine" I see why you wanted Bruce & I to see it together last year. Re. Campsite fire. The locals were probably trying to be friendly and keep you warm. Sam don't forget to refer to your survival kit should you need to do the Haka to ward off unfriendly locals, especially near the Glaciers. Ailsa, remember the campsite we went to out of Queenstown (7 mile Delta I think) definitely Delta where the tiolets were putrid and we were eaten alive by mosquitoes; give it a wide berth. You can free camp along a track off the main road West of Te Anau, next to a river which feed into the lake. I remember giong over a bridge on the track & there was a pump house there. We bought 6 pkts of Ginger Nuts at Te Anau remember. xxxxxxxxx
